Proofing tools causes crash/Unable to update proofing tools

Hello!

I updated office to version 10.1.5 a while ago.

Just the other day I installed some additional proofing tools because I
wanted to run Swedish spell-checks. However, Entourage crashes every time I
try to run the Swedish spell check.

I did some poking around and found that it seems that at least some of the
English proofing tools got updated along the way from SR1 to 10.1.5. If some
of the proofing tools files of other languages also need to be updated, that
could explain the crash. But there seems to be no way to update only those
files, for every updater I try to run returns an error saying that Office
does not need updating.

I have done quite extensive searching but found no answer to this dilemma.
Does anyone here have any helpful info to offer? I would greatly appreciate
it!

Sincerely,
Jonas

Remove and re-install Office X. Insert the Office X CD, then open the Value
Pack. Click the Value Pack Installer. Check "Remove Office", then click
"Continue". Run the "Remove Office" utility. When done, re-install Office
X from the CD.

Then, open the Value Pack, run the Installer, and install of the components
you want.

Following that, download and install the latest Office X updates, which are
10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary). They¹re available from
Microsoft.

Thank you very much, Mickey, for answering.

I put off reinstalling Office until today because I wanted to wait until I
had done my clean install of Panther (which would require me to reinstall
most apps anyway). I was running Jaguar before.

I have now done my clean install of Panther. After that, I reinstalled
Office (including the proofing languages I thought I'd need). Then I ran the
three updaters. BUT, Entourage still crashed once I try to run a spell check
in a different language.

Any ideas what might be going on here?

It's rather frustrating, of course; especially after reinstalling
everything.

I really appreciate your help!

Sincerely,
Jonas
