Properties on Multiple Pages

I am new to Visio, and working under an extremely tight timeline to finish
some templates for our company. The one roadblock I seem to be experiencing
is trying to link shapes on multiple pages that have the same text (i.g.
project name, project number, etc.) so all you have to do it fill them out on
one page and the other p[ages update as well.

I tried a custom formula using ShapeText but can only get that to work
between shapes on the same page. Is there a way to do this but for shapes on
different pages?

Thank you in advance for any help on this!

It seems that you are describing information that apply to the whole
document.
If so, then you have basically two choices, which are not mutually
exclusive:
1. Use the Document Properties - these can the referered to in text field
formulae
2. Use document sheet cells - either User Defined or Custom Properties. -
these can also the used in text field formula using =TheDoc!Prop.Project or
=TheDoc!User.ProjectNumber, etc. The problem is that you do not have a nice
user interface for document cells, but you can get at them from the right
mouse menu on the drawing explorer on the document node. You could use VBA
to create a suitable form...
