Properties sheet not displaying

I am using Access 2007 and it has stopped showing me the Properties sheet
(again) for queries, forms etc (i.e. when viewing in design view and
selecting properties sheet). An IT bloke has previously fixed it for me by
writing some VBA although I really didn't understand/retain his explanation
but it did have something to do with Access crashing and doing something that
stopped the properties sheet displaying. Does anyone know what this problem
is, and more importantly how to fix it?

The most common cause of this happens due to changing resolution on your
monitor. The property sheet and/or toolbox display off-screen. The easiest
fix is to temporarily change the resolution back and move the object back to
the middle of the screen. Sometimes, using Alt+M and the Left Arrow key will
also work. Also make sure that all your MS Office Service Packs are up to
date.
