Property promotion to multiselect choice column

Hey all:

Having a slight problem. I have a sharepoint site column that is a
muti-select choice column. i am trying to map a property in my InfoPath
form to that column and i am having no success.

I have tried a couple of seemingly logical approaches. Both attempt to map a
repeating node (element or group) to the column. i get the following error
"The data type of the selected site column does not match the data type of
the field to promote."

I think i need to define the site column independent of the form because it
is used by other non-form content types in the site.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Hi,
When we a repeating group to property promotion we will only get the count
(no.of that nodes). If it is repeating field, there are 4 options. By using
merge option you can display all the values.
