Proposed Booking & Email Alerts

When I published a project plan with proposed resources booking th
following happend

1) Project server send out email notification to all propose
resource
2) When the team members click on the Tasks button in PWA, nothing i
displayed there
3) The project is available in the Project Centre view

My understanding about the proposed booking ar

1) System will not send out email notifications for the propose
resource
2) Proposed resources cannot see the their assignments on the Tas
Vie

I am right on the second and wrong on first
NOW - Can anyone confirm to me that my assumptions are right or wron

The way to prevent emails from going out is to uncheck the box to
notify during the Republish all Assignments or Publish Changes
functions. Unfortunately, during an initial publish this checkbox is
not available.

To keep emails from going out appears to be a global resource pool
function. The field in question is "Workgroup" and changing it from
Default to None will prevent emails from going out to a specific
resource. Caution though, as this will prevent ALL emails from going
to that resource for all assignments.

I think you've already proven to yourself that you are right on the second
and wrong on first. Really, e-mail should not be sent for Proposed
assignments, but it is. There are one or two other snags with Proposed
bookings that still need to be ironed out.

I ran across this in the Knowledge Base. It describes how to fix the
email being sent to Proposed resources... Evidently it is fixed in
SP1.
