Proposed vs committed at the task level

Can you have a resource “proposed†for a specific task and “committed†to
other tasks at the same time? I can’t seem to figure out how to do this.

Joe:

The proposed/committed state affects a resource at the project level. So,
it's possible for a resource to have both proposed and committed
assignments, but not in the same project.

Thanks Gary,

I thought that's how it worked, but when I tried to change the booking
setting on the resource sheet for a enterprise project plan, I received an
error message that said I need to change it on ther Enterprise Resource pool.
How do you specify which project on the enterprise resource pool? Or am I
missing something here.
