Ok, I have read up on the errors I have been getting lately, with my
office suite constantly asking me for the install CDs and telling me
the missing file is proret.msi. Unfortunately, every fix I have seen
involves putting in the CD and either reintalling or letting it find
the files it needs, and I do not have the CDs. This computer was a
gift, with the Suite already installed, so that is not an option for
me. It worked fine until recently, but I cann't do a restore of my
system either, becuase I do not know the exact date when the problems
started; I must admit I don't do regular restore points, and I did not
initiate any updates to Windows myself, so my guess is this must have
been caused by one of the automatic updates.
Can anyone offer any suggestions or help? Please!
Thanks!
