Proret.msi Office Update
This file is asked for when I am prompted to put in the
Office XP CD when the online Office update tries to
install the security patches for Office XP. I the CD and
my HD for the file to no avail.

Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

MS Office XP Professional Edition has the ProRet.MSI
file on the CD. If you have file extensions view turned
off in Windows Explorer it will be just ProRet

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel
to be sure that the name for the Edition of Microsoft Office XP
listed there is the same as the one printed on the hologrammed
CD of Office XP that you have.
