My Windows XP, SP1 install disk does not have the"proret.msi" file required
to update my Office 2003. Does anyone have any idea where this can be found
or what needs to happen in order to update my Office 2003 to SP3?

Probably because the proret.msi file should be on your Office 2003 CD, not on
your Windows XP CD.
