Protect a calculation field in a word table?

Rob Benz

We have a table in a word.doc that has fields in the total column such as
"=SUM(ABOVE)", "=SUM (B2,B4, B12)", etc.

Can we protect these calculation fields so that a user can't inadvertently
delete or over type them while adding numbers to the table? We want them to
be able to enter various number amounts, but not be able to accidentally
overtype or modify the calculated fields.

Insert form fields for the users to enter numbers and protect the document
for forms. Don't forget to check the calculate on exit check box of the form
fields to ensure that the calculation is updated.
