Protect a Word 97 document and still allow hyperlinks to work

I have a Word 97 document that I would like protected so that changes cannot be made to it. When I protect it the hyperlinks to the web, etc. cease to work. Is there any way around this so that the hyperlinks still work even though the document is protected?

It sounds as though you are protecting the document for forms. Within Word
this is the best method to protect a document from changes while still
allowing viewing and printing. While it is easily defeated, most users don't
know how.

You need to unprotect your document and substitute MacroButton fields for
your hyperlinks.
