Protect Documents In Different Ways

D

Derek Hart

Using Word 2007... using vba or maybe not, just functions of Word 2007. Can
I mix and match different ways of protecting a Word 2007 document? For
example, it seems that I can protect for forms OR revisions, but is it
possible to protect for forms, and only allow the user to fill out form
fields, but have revision checking turned on for just the form fields? Is
there a hierarchy of any kind to allow customization of protecting Word
docs?

Frankly I can't see any reason why a form used as intended would need
revision checking. It should be saved as a template and new forms created
and filled from it. If you are using form fields in some other type of
document there are probably better methods of achieving your goals.

Derek,

I agree with Graham's comments, but it's really a moot point: only one
protection type can be applied to a document at at time.
