Protect final document

I recently sent an MS Word 2003 document by e-mail to a contact, who told me
he could read all the changes I had made to the document since the original
draft. I sent the document to myself, and found he was right. How do I
protect the final version so that no-one except me can read the changes to
the original draft?

The options on the Reviewing toolbar which allow you to view Original
With MarkUp, Original, Final with Markup and Final are just "views" of
the same document. Just becuase you view the Final, it does not mean
that when someone elsge opens the document they see the same view as
you. You have to remove the markup first.

If you want to keep the original with the markups you can create
version of the document and accept all the changes in the final version
or make a copy of the document and accept all the changes before you
send it.
