Protect InfoPath form from design

Fred Abrahamian

Hi everybody,
I have tried the protection part in the Form Options page but again InfoPath
lets the form to be edited by other users. I also found some hints about
Policy Templates of Infopath used for this purpose, but I did not found any
practical hint.
If you have any suggestion for somehow solving this problem, please let me
know.
With Regards'

Thanks for the link, but as I checked the link and trusted forms I got that
it is an ability to modify a form so that it can access system resources and
other external resources that are not marked as safe for scripting, but still
it will not solve my problem of to not let others to redesign the form.

Hello Fred,

Did you check out by selecting the Check box Enable Protection in the
Tools-> FormOptions-> General tab-> Enable Protection(Check Box).

Another way is You can check out the form in the sharepoint(Published
Location), so that others may not edit this.

Also in Office 2007 which is due for release, you can publish the form to
Forms server and send the link and the user will open the form from the link
in a web browser in the machines where the Infopath is not installed. This
way too the forms cannot be edited as there will be no infopath.

I can only think of these scenarios right now.

I hope this will be helpful in some way.
