protect my folders in windows XP ?

Hi,
i have a windows xp version but in french in my leptop, so now i wants to
protect my important folders from others, by password option or other
optionn. and make sure that nobody can delete, copy, or can't open it.

Please give me feed back,

You can easily set a pass phrase in Windows XP to keep anyone from opening
your copy of Windows. However, this newsgroup is concerned with the MS
Access database product. You may get a better answer in one of the Windows
XP newsgroups.

I also want to know this. As far as I know, hard to do so, except that this
folder is in C: and under your ID folder. Not convienient to use.
