Conditional Formatting

we are creating some XLS forms (for people to fill-in) with simple check
boxes etc...

I need these forms to be totally protected (cells should not even be
selectable) except very few ones where TEXT should be typed and the radio
buttons and check boxes. When using the standard sheet protection from +XLS,
I get all kind of warning when using the check boxes etc... do you know how
to protect without getting the warnings? We want the other area to remain
fillable only (plus the check boxes and radio button). Currently these two
type of cells are set on "unlocked" .

What should we do in order not to have WARNING when we protect the file?

Many thanks,
NIE

xls forms are Excel, not Word. In Word this would be what is called an
"online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the
links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,
