Protected form ignores formatting after SP2

Chris

I use a Word template protected as a form, with date and time fields.
The date fields are formatted "MM-dd-yyyy" and the time fields are
"h:mm AM/PM". Before the SP2 update to Word 2004, entering "8/1" in a
date field produced "08-01-2005" and entering "17:45" in a time field
produced "5:45 PM" when tabbing out of the field. Since the SP2 update,
Word 2004 (11.2.0) ignores the formatting of these fields: "8/1" in a
date field produces "8/1" and "17:45" produces "17:45." Geez, what
gives? Is this a bug the MacBU knows about? OS is 10.3.9.

Hi Chris:

{Sob!} Yes, it is indeed a bug in the SP that Mac BU found out about
yesterday in here...

What can I say... There's always one that escapes.

Yours sounds like a different manifestation of the one we reported
yesterday.

I'll put it in for you...

Cheers
