Protected Forms

Frazzled by Forms!

I have created a password protected (via Tools, protect document) form for others to complete electronically, the form was e-mailed out for completion. One form has been returned, but they queried the fact that the numbering on the form had gone out of sync. I have looked over the form and it is now longer password protected & can be unlocked using the Unprotect Document button on the forms toolbar

I have checked the original form that was sent out and it was definately password protected. There is no way anyone would have been able to guess the password used in order to remove it. I did notice that "Save As" had been used as the file name was slightly different, but I've tried that with the form myself and it appears to keep the document password protected!

Any ideas on how the password protection has been removed?

If a protected form is inserted into another document by using Insert>File,
the protection is removed.
