Protecting cell in a table

Is is possible to protect a single cell in a table? I
need to proect a single line of data in a word document
and a table seemed the logical course. If you have other
suggestions, I would appreicate it.

You can protect a single cell if it's the entire table and you insert
Continuous section breaks above and below, then use Tools | Protect Document
| Forms and specify the section. But this type of protection is easily
defeated.
