protecting formulae

Hi

I have a number of formulae that are using cells from a
different sheet in them. The different sheets contain
pivot tables that are created when the report opens and
deleted when it closes. When i delete them, the cell
dissapears, therefore i get a ref# back from the
formulae. I can not use clear contents as there are pivot
tables and it is not allowed, so i wish to protect the
contents so that even though the cells on the sheet are
deleted, the cell reference in the formulae remain in
tact. Does any one know a way aroud this?

TIA

Nath.

Without more information, I would suggest that you retain your pivot table
and use a SUMPRODUCT formula to return the necessary figures. I have ahd a
similar problem and worked around it using this method. If you supply a
little more info, I might be able to help a bit more!!
