Protecting Gantt Charts

Is there any way to protect entire Gantt charts from being altered in Visio
2007? I've noticed a tendency for users accessing my Gantt Chart diagrams to
inadvertantly alter the dates by scrolling back and forth along the date
lines. At the moment I am protecting the date squares individually, as
selecting the entire table/chart and protecting ALL didn't seem to work - but
is there a quicker or more effective way?

Hello Paul,

Would saving the file as read only help you, or do your users need to make
other changes (aside from the Gantt charts)?

There's a read only option on the Save button in the Save As... dialog.

Thanks for that - but unfortunately I don't have a read-only option on my
Save As... dialog. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing?

Hello Paul,

When you have the Save As dialog up there is a small black drop down arrow
actually on the Save button. If you hit the arrow then you should see the
Read only option....?

Oh yeah - I see it now

BTW is there any way to protect the chart from chnging other than this? IE I
protected the dates - so should that stop them changing should other elements
n the chart eg start date be altered? Or would I have to resort to this every
time?
