Protecting my Worksheets formulas and headings.

Hello,

I am a novice user to Microsoft Excel for Mac (2004) and i am having
trouble following the instructions for protecting a worksheet's
formulas and headings from accidental --or deliberate -- changes. Is
there a way to turn a worksheet into a "form" so a user can enter
information into certain fields, but not change the formulas and
headings?

Thank you.

Hi cosie -

You first have to select & *unlock* the cells you want to remain editable
(Format>Cells - Protection, remove the Locked check). Then go to
Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet. The cells that still have the Locked
property in effect will not be editable.

You might also search XL Help for 'forms' (no quotes), and I'm sure there
will be other replies with some useful suggestions.
