Protecting part of Word document

I want to be able to protect some parts of a Word document. ie allow
formatting changes and page breaks, but no addition or deletion of text.
Anyone have any ideas?

protect the doc as forms, include buttons to perform allowed
formatting and their macros do an unprotect first and a reprotect
reset:=False after.
