Hi Nancy,
I want to set-up a form document in Word that has 2
columns with a text box in the left hand column that is
unprotected, and a table in the right hand column that is
protected.
the only way I've ever found to make this work is to have an
uprotected section located at the very bottom of the page
(after the columns). It can be very small font, so that it's
practically invisible.
Insert a FRAME (not a textbox! - from the Forms toolbar) and
make sure it's anchored in that unprotected section. It
won't matter that it's positioned in the protected section,
as long as the anchor point is unprotected.
And don't bother creating to separate columns: the frame
should be adequate to force the text to flow on the right,
making a column.
Note that there is no way to make this work across page
breaks.
