Hi everyone,
I am setting up some shapes to have three custom properties: length,
width, and area. This data is not physically related to the dimensions
of my shape, but represents real-world data that I enter, and which is
to be stored in the custom properties of the shape.
I have two questions related to this, please.
First, once I have entered the data, I would like to protect against the
data's being changed (by myself, accidentally). There must be an easy
way to do this, but I don't know how to do it. I suppose that I have to
go into the ShapeSheet, but I still don't know what to change.
Second, is it possible to set up the custom property for area to be
calculated automatically from length and width? So, for example, if I
enter length to be 13 and width to be 7 (just to make up some numbers),
I would like area to entered automatically as 91.
Thank you.
