Protocol change and reverse proxy

M

Marcel Rabe

Dear all,

we're using an IIS reverse proxy filter to provide access to our project
server from the world wide web. Via the filter only SSL traffic is allowed.
This mechanism works for quite some other websites but only partially for
project server.

The situation is as follows:

internal URL: http://host.internaldomain.com/projectserver
external URL: https://host.externaldomain.com/projectserver

The user can log on to the project server via the external URL (thus HTTPS)
but for some reason, the IIS creates HTTP links in the main menu and not
HTTPS. So the links to "Home Page", "Change password", "Alert me about my
tasks and status reports", "Alert me about my resources on tasks and status
reports" and "Go offline" are all to
http://host.externaldomain.com/projectserver/....

Any ideas how this happens?

Kind regards
marcel rabe
