Word 2007 Compare Documents: How do I tell what two documents where compared.
Using Word 2007 SP!
I open two documents to compare. Do a compare as new document. This works
awesome. Now I have the new doc as a compare. The two other docs on the side
as the original and the compared.
I save the Compare document.....
Later I open the compare document and if I forgot what the two compares docs
were how do I find out.
Checked in the Document propertys hoping a field would contain this data. Or
anywhere in the document.
The only thing I can thing of for my users is to have them name the document
with the other two in the name. "Redline of doc X to doc Y" but the don't
always do that.
The perfect answer would be to get the field that Word has of the two
original docs and insert it at the bottom of the Document. Maybe a macro that
will insert the two compare docs names to the end of the document.
