Provisioning 'PWA': Error provisioning site or databases

MOSS2007 SQL2005 Microsoft Office Project Server2007 all on same server
single server farm.
We recently had to recreate our primary SSP which was running when Project
Server was installed. When trying to re-create PWA on the new SSP we get the
"Provisioning 'PWA': Error provisioning site or databases" error. We are
unable to use Project Server at this time. I am unable to create while
associating to the new SSP. Is the only option to uninstall and start over?

The error is very simple.

I also need to add, this instance of PS07 was installed on an SSP that no
longer exists. We had to create a new SSP because of an issue unrelated to
this one. From Central Admin>Create Project Web Access sites for
SharedServices3> the creation on the new SSP fails.

The Sharepoint log is quite large. Is there someting inside I can be looking
to parce for you?

There should be a more descriptive error and an error code in the sharepoint
logs.

Has the account running the SSP got the appropriate permissions in SQL ?

Project server needs an SSP a pool and a web application to run. So I would
advise to reinstall a new SSP and a new web application, on which you will
create a PWA site, and move existing EPM projects via migration process
visible on technet (no pain if you do not have much workspace to reload)

Yes the account running the SSP as the approporiate permissions is SQL.

No way to put it on the New SSP already sitting there? We want it associated
with our Extranet if possible. I am trying to save the teams configurations.
Also after it's rebuilt, will we be able to re-associate the original DB's
with the new PS application?

Hey guys.. did this get resolved ? I'm have the same issue now..
We have created a new SSP and when I go to create the PWA it just errors out
... Same logs as previously mentioned.
