PS 2003 Sample database issue

Thanks for reading this posting.

I am looking to evaluate Project Server 2003 and for the life of me cannot
get the sample risks and issues to work.
The sample risks and issues appear however upon selecting one, the following
error is displayed:

"The documents, risks and issues features in Project Web Access use Windows
SharePoint Services. There is a problem establishing a connection with the
Web server running Windows SharePoint Services. Contact your system
administrator"

All links in the "Manage Sharepoint services" test as they should and I have
run the PSComPlus app as this seems to be commonly documented as a fix for
the above error.

Any ideas on this welcomed as I have spent considerable time to date in
trying to resolve this!

Dear Bob,

This is because the PSCOMPlus is stopped.

I don know if you are experiencing the same situation, but, here, for
instance, when I realize the service is stopped, I restart the PSCOMPlus and
it becomes up all the day long. On the next morning the service is stopped
again. Maybe something at night is happening that stops the service.

By the way Bob, this problem does not occur in the sample database only, but
in production environment too.
