PS 2007 and site "app 40" templates"

Does anyone have experience using the "app 40" templates "Budgeting and
Tracking Multiple Projects" and "Project Tracking Workspace", they are from
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsserver/sharepoint/wssapps/templates/default.mspx,
I have read that they are for MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0 when one is not using
Project Server 2007 but I like some of the boasted features (rollup,
dashboard, etc.) I know these sites would not be able to function as a
Project Workspace Site but what of using them as a Master site and make the
PWS sites sub-sites and benefit from some of the features, are they even
designed to work in conjunction with a Project Server 2007 solution
