PS 2007 - Plan Administrative Time - multiple holiday requests

M

Mike Mahoney

If your team members submit holiday requests for more than 1 week at a time,
and if you approve the requests as a block, the approval process fails with
error id="10101" name="CICOAlreadyCheckedOutToYou" .
It seems that the resource calendar is changed for the first request, and
subsequent request finds the resource is "checked out", hence the failure.
The failed jobs can be retried successfully but must do it one job at a time.

The approval of non-working time can get more complicated. The holiday
request / timesheet process is problematic. When completing Plan Admin
time request you can enter planned, committed or both. I had
anticipated entering planned hours for a holiday request with actual
(committed) hours being submitted after the fact on the timesheet.
This does not work, the timesheet cannot be submitted as it treats the
hours entered against the holiday task as another holiday request
(which requires approval before you can submit your timesheet). you
can only save and exit the timesheet and await admin approval, before
opening and resubmitting timesheet - alternatively enter both plan
and actual rows in the plan admin time form to avoid this.
