PS 2007 Resource Plans

I can add resources to a resource plan via build team, but i don't seem to be
able to edit/input the amount of work ... it shows 0 but i don't see anywhere
to change this.

For example, i have 'calc resource util from' set to Resource Plan and Work
Units to FTE.
I want to assign a particular FTE as 0.5 FTE on the Resource Plan for a 3
month period.

The right most column shows the 3 month time period, but 0 is presented as a
value. I don't seem to be able to edit or type over the 0 and replace it with
0.5. It's as if it is greyed out...

any ideas?

Hmmmm may be a long shot, but have you checked your security configuration?

I've seen this too, though I'm not quite sure how I got around it. Did you
save the plan before making changes? Publish?

it actually turned out to be something simple on the resource plan. I
unchecked the box "Show Total Work" and that allowed me to edit the resource
plan, say put in FTE amounts.
However, when i go back and turn on "Show Total Work" i only get back the
total across the time period selected.
Therefore, it must have been an issue with the page ...deselecting "Show
Total Work" allowed the grid to be edited. Checking/Unchecking the box seems
to make the part work correctly whereas initially it did not.
