Arun

Hi,
We are using project server 2007. Our resources are working in onsite and
offshore. The Resource rate for onsite and the offsite are different. Is it
possible to have different resource rate for two resources? If possible how
can I do it.

Thanks in Advance,
arun

Hello Arun,

With the administrator permissions, you can open the Enterprise Resource
Pool.
In the Checked-out Enterprise Resource, double click a resource name to open
the Resource information dialog. Click the Costs tab.
There, you can set up to 5 different resource rates for each resource.
To apply on rate or another, on a project task, go to the Resource Usage or
to the Task Usage view, double click an assignment (italic) and select a
rate in the Cost rate table pick list. By default, Project applies rate A

Hope this helps,

Hi Gérard,
Thank for your reply. I have some questions
1. I set the another cost in the tab B. Then I tried to assign the cost by
adding the cost rate table in Reourcesheet/task and put B to assign the cost
in the resource rate table coloum. It is saying that "this information
synchronized with project server and will lost when you open the project next
time". If I set and close the project and open, it vanish. How can I assign
the cost entered in the tab B.

2. Sometimes the task may be executed by more than one persons. Then How can
I set the cost B for a resource in that task level.

Thanks in advance,
Arun

Arun,
1 - That's not in the Resource Sheet that you apply a rate or another, it's
in a Usage view :.
To apply one rate or another, on a project task, go to the Resource Usage or
to the Task Usage view, double click an assignment (italic) and select a
rate in the Cost rate table pick list.
2 - You cannot assign the rate B once for all resources on one task : you
have to do that assignment by assignment.
