PS 2007 Schedule Backup

PS 2007 continues to impress with its weirdness. I had previously set
schedule backup to run at various times but it was failing to do so, so I
changed the times to run during regular hours so I could see it running. It
now runs. The only problem is that on the schedule backup page I can no
longer change any values. I can attempt to chnage them and save the page and
everything appears fine but when I close the page and reopen the values have
not stuck. This is only a problem on the production environment it does not
affect the various development environments I have

The only difference in the prod system I am aware of, is that I had to apply
a .Net 2 framework patch (kb923028). I have deleted all saved files, etc in
the browser (using IE7, but also problem on IE6). What can I do?

Thanks

Mike

I have noticed this application log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3
Event Category: Database
Event ID: 5214
Date: 25/04/2007
Time: 08:32:04
User: N/A
Computer: CCM-PRDPRJ01
Description:
Insufficient SQL database permissions for user '' in database
'SharePoint_Config' on SQL Server instance 'ccm-prdsqlsup\projoffice'.
Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.

EXECUTE permission denied on object 'proc_dropObject', database
'SharePoint_Config', owner 'dbo'.

I extended the SSPAdmin accoout to become dbo of the Sharepoint_Config db
and it solved the problem

regards

Mike
