Greetings,

I was able to follow the instructions for installing PS 2007 on a medium
farm.

When I try to log into my project web access site (I called it
ProjectServer), I get an unexpected error.

The web address seems right "http://devapp01:82/ProjectServer/default.aspx.

When I try to log into that site, it says the current account (devadmin)
does not have access. I gave it the same account I used to set up PWS, which
was sts_user. This account has access on SQL Server, because it creates the
4 PS DB's, so I know it can see the SQL 2005 box.

However, when I try to log into the http address, I get an "Error - An
unexpected error has occurred".

I turned on trace logging, but the only message I see is "Failed to get
language information for Project Server (http://devapp01:82/ProjectServer).

I thought it might have to do with the Surface Area Configuration etc,
but the same instance of SQL Server is running the Project Server WSS site,
and that works just fine
(http://devapp01:82/sites/ProjectWebAccess/default.aspx).

The fact that I can get into one but not the other really confuses me.
Any help would be most appreciated.

I found the answer. When I create the Project Server Web Access site, I chose
the wrong web application. I needed port 83, not 82.
