PS07: Users from 2 different ADs?

Is it possible to have users coming from different ADs?
I tried to map an existing user to an account in another AD (checking
'prevent AD sync.'), but the PS tells me that the NT account provided is
invalid.

Our infrastructure platoon told me that there is a trust between the two ADs.
I'm a complete ignorant regarding AD...

The authentication can happen between trusted ADs, so I suspect there is more
of an underlying infrastructure problem if you are typing in the correct
domain\login name. Ask again (and get it proved) to make sure your domain
that contains PS trusts the domain that is supplying the resource names.

In addition to Ben's post, check that the SSP Admin account has AD read
object permissions in the target domain.
