Hi,
We are experiencing some strange behavior with the Active directory sync in
Project Server 2007. We have defined 3 groups; one for admins, one for
project viewers, and one for PM's. The ERP is not really used for resourcing,
but only as a way to let users logon and view eachother's plans.
For some reason the AD sync stopped working. The message is failed in the AD
sync screen, but the queue shows the sync as successful. In the queue I see
three entries, two of type project: user sync & resource sync, and one of
type timesheet: the Ad sync. These are all listed as successful. In the event
log on the server there are three event ID's: 7713 - initializing; 7714 - ERP
starting APP_EPM_USERS; 7712 - Sync failed.
I have added users succesfully by hand, but would much prefer to use the AD
sync. Does anyone have any idea why it would stop working? Another point that
may help is that the sync appears to work a little bit. The new users that I
added by hand seem to be overwritten (small letters into CAP's, for example).
Thanks in advance,
Jane
