Your Project Server administrator can manually or automatically back up all
enterprise projects to the Archive database. He/she can then delete the
enterprise project from the Draft and Published databases, as needed. Hope
this helps.

This seems to 'backup' all projects in the database.

Is this the best way to do things. I guess we can still see the archived
projects by opening the project plan from the archive database. What happens
to the Workspaces though?

Project Server archiving does not accomodate WSS sites. You can choose to
delete WSS sites (or not) when you delete the projects.

What happens to the resource allocation and timesheet entries when I delete
the project from the published database after archiving?

James :)

My understanding is that the timesheet info will be retained, but any
assignment info will be deleted with the project.
