PS2007 confirmation issue

It gets there, it just doesn't get back. We have several PM's having sync
problems between MS Project and Project Server. When they try to save a plan,
it's works, but they never receive a confirmation message. It always says 0%
complete expected wait time is 2s. As a result, each time they open MS
Project they have empty projects checked out to you. I have watched, they
are not getting out too soon (unless 1/2 hour after the save was completed,
they should still be wating for the confirmation). I've tried having them
delete the folders under cache too, wth no effect. Most PM's are not having
this problem, so it must be a specific client issue.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Firstly I would suggest checking the service pack version of all Project Pro
clients and your server, ensure that they all are running the same version,
ideally service pack 2 as a few more check-in related fixes were included in
that service pack.

Second when you say you have deleted the files under cache, do you actually
mean deleted the folder contents in the user profile folder or from the
project menu? It is possible if you have only done it the second way that
some 'bad' data relating to those projects remains in the cache resulting in
this issue! Make sure to delete all files in the folder that should be
something like (in vista): "c:\users\name\appdata\roaming\microsoft\ms
project\cache\"
