PS2007- Custom Field Value is not populating

A

Ashish kanoongo

hello

I am using PS2007. I have created a enteprise custom formula field i.e. 'NB'
for Task using following condition
IIf([Task Type]='Non-Billable',[Actual Work]/60,0)

Where [Task Type] is a enterprise text field.

When I open my project in project professional, it is showing and
calculating values in custom field properly. But whenever I open Resource
Assignment Summary, it is showing column, but value is not populating.

Can anyone tell me whats worng I am doing?

FYI, I also rebuild CUBE from server settings also, but no luck.

Ashish,
I'm not a Project Server MVP but I think I can answer your question. The
simple answer is that spare task, resource and assignment fields are
independent. For example, if Task Text1 is customized with a formula,
you will not see that formula when you look at Resource Text1 nor will
you see it when you look at Resource Text1.

I agree with you, but it should show the value in Resource Assignment
Summary. I also added a another custom field without any formula, in this
custom field it is showing me the values in Resource Assignment Summary.

As per my thinking it should show the formula value also.

I am not sure if this is the problem but you could try, opening Project Pro,
insert a column with the custom field, see if the values are showing up
properly and then press F9 and then republish the project.

This is a generic trouble shooting tip for graphical indicators.

Hope this helps

Dave
