PS2007 Master Project Details will not load!

I'm running accross a problem when I click on the Master Project in Project
Center to view the details. The grid say Loading... for a long time, then
returns the following message

"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project."

I do have permissions (did check), the master nor any subs have been deleted
(checked), and noone is publishing (also checked). Has anyone run across this
issue that could help out? Each sub-project opens fine individually. No blank
spaces or out of the ordinary items found on a quick scan of each sub-project.

The master is large (6 sub-projects, 7700 lines). Is there a PWA limit on
the number of tasks and/or sub-projects that can display?

I also heard around the table that this could be an indexing issue on the
database. Has anyone else heard that? If so, does anyone know how to re-index
the db (SQL Server 2005)?

I'm really pulling my hair out on this one as folks are trying to run
reports off this and we can;t view. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

It certainly sounds like a time out error. Search Christophe's blog for
re-indexing SQL servers, which you should do on a weekly basis.

Hi Ben, thanks for the response. I got the command sp_updatestats which is
supposed to re-index the DB and ran it on the published DB, but no change in
condition. We also ran a vanilla view (no custom fields) to see if there were
any issues there, but no change in result. Also reset the
WADMIN_CORE_SQL_TIMEOUT to 0 as one of the DBA said this would set the timer
to unlimited. Still no go on loading. Interestingly, it always times out at
110 seconds. Any ideas of other timers controlling this or other suggestions
of things to look at?

Hi Gary. We've got all CU's through Feb-09 installed. We are SP1. We've
eliminated files, timers, and network issues and are now working with
microsoft. We will probably install SP2 tomorrow. Hadn't heard there was an
SP3 out yet. Didn't SP2 just come out?

Rick:

Re-read my previous post. I'm asking you about SQL Server, no Project
Server. Many people forget that there's more than one technology influencing
performance here. SQL Server issues are responsible for many of the
performance problems that users encounter with Project Server.
