Just a little Public Service Announcement
I thought I'd pass along some information for those of you that may have
upgraded to Windows Vista.
After I upgraded to Vista Home Premium I noticed that when I went to some
web sites (ex: http://www.lavasoft.com) Vista would display a message that
the site was not compatible with the current display and it was changing the
color scheme to Vista Basic. The color scheme would return after the site /
browser was closed. I was curious as to what on the site might be causing
this to happen.
It turns out that the web site is using Java. Older versions of the JVM are
not compatible with the new Aero display feature in Vista and so the system
falls back to displaying in Vista Basic (non-Aero). To keep Vista from
changing your display when you visit a site that uses Java you'll need to
update the JVM on your PC. Java Runtime Environment 6 (JRE 6) is
Vista/Aero-compatible.

Hope this helps.
