Firstly, we have just installed MS Project Server 2003 over a Novell Network
- not a job for the faint-hearted. We have pretty much got it up and running
but need to find solutions to one problem and get some advice on another.
The problem - it involved PSCOMPLUS permissions being destroyed on a regular
basis. We have fiddled with the monster on the server and have had it running
successfully for almost 2 weeks then it decided to lose the login credentials
again. While most people would just say - Redo the parameters in PSCOMPLUS,
this for us is a bit of a challenge as we do not handle the support of the
server - this is performed by a 3rd party and we need to go through the
hassle of a support call to a helpdesk with limited knowledge. It also means
that somebody has to check the cube build each day. Has anybody been able to
successfully configure the server so that the login credentials are not lost.
The second quesion involved security permissions to be able to run
PSCOMPLUS. As mentioned previously, a 3rd party does the server support. We
are trying to set up a user who is not an administrator on the server, but
does have enough permissions to run the tool. Does anybody have an idea as to
the minimum security requirements for a user to be able to run this tool?
Thanks in advance.
