PSI Debugging

Does anyone know of a toll for debugging what happens inside the PSI
blackbox? I am seeing a number of odd things happen w/ regards to dataset
values passed to various PSIs and the results that subsquently appear in the
project database. These curious effects include mysteriously unset
variables, such I posted in another thread having to do w/ TASK_DUR_IS_EST
field, as well as setting assignment custom fields where I submit data for
these to the PSI, and it processes w/o error, but the fields also don't
appear in the project when viewed in MSP or the SDK's projtool.

It would be helpful if there was some way to open the PSI blackbox and track
what happens as it processes incoming requests and what it does to the
project database.

there are none, my advice is to run a SQL profiler.
