I was running outlook 2000 on win 98se -- the computer died, so I pull
the hard drive and put in a usb containter -- I need to copy the
outlook info ( mail, contacts ) from the drive that is now a usb drive
to my new computer running xp and outlook 2003 -- where would the data
be on the old drive?

Could have been anywhere on Win98. Make all files visible, then search
your old HD for any .PST files. There may be multiple, so check the date
to make sure which is the one you used with Outlook.
