.pst file is at 2 gigs

i have a user of mine who's .pst file is at two gigs and
evrytime he goes to open outlook it freeze's the whole
pc' if anyone knows a solution to this problem i would be
very grateful. Thanks

Hey Jason,

The user's .pst file is too large. MS KB states that
Outlook may become unstable when .pst files reach the 2
gig barrier. They don't recommend .pst files 2 gig and
larger. Have the user create a new .pst folder within
Outlook and move their emails/files/folders to the new
Personal folder in order to reduce the size.

Outlook 2003 solves this problem.

Microsoft now considers "old" pst files and "new" pst files.

the old ones are the ones with the 2GB limit
