has anyone seen this before?
Outlook 2003-the pst has grown to 2Gb.
Now when new mail is received, strange files appear on either users Home
drive on a network server (when in the office) or go straight to her C:\
drive when not.
The files have the format of s1cg.11 s1cg.12 etc etc- Hundreds get created
-seems like one for each mail coming in. I only saw what was happening
because the server stopped allowing connections across the domain because
this user had 127 of these files 'open'-bascially held open by Outlook.
Closed Outlook and forced disconnect and close of the user and files and I
could then delete these weird files. Some of them were txt files and were
just the emails as txt.
I am trying to archive and then compact to see what happens. Was very weird
almost virsu like activity.
