.pst file not closed properly

Alan Shepro

When I start Outlook 2007, I get a message the .pst file was not closed
properly. The system seems to check out the file and then it opens. I
usually exit by clicking the X in the upper right corner or I let it close
when I shutdown.

Any thoughts??

Are you using any applications that access outlook data? This is typically
pda sync tools but there are many others that will cause problems. See
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.asp for some of the applications
that are known to cause issues. As an FYI, SP2 should reduce this problem
but I'm not sure when it will come out.

Alan,
Yes the Blackberry does cause a problem with syn if you have a large pst
file. Try reducing the size of the pst file. We had the same problem here.
Was trying to save to many emails.

Yes, the blackberry software will cause a problem unless you close the BB
desktop before closing outlook.
