"... pst is not a personal folders file"

I posted my problem last Friday without any subsequent response. I still
have the problem, if anyone might point me in the direction of a solution.

Attempt to load Outlook 2002 (Outlook Express already installed on XP
Professional system), I got this message;

"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the
specified folder location. The file C:\WINDOWS\outlook.pst is not a
personal
folders file."

Any suggestions on what to do next?
