Project Server 03 & Pro 03 on lan w/ fo firewall.
PWA access is OK. Connecting via Pro gives an error message, event viewer
gives the above message.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks Gary...cleared that up...having different SQL problems.
Sharepoint, EditSite, and Project pro can not connect to the database.
"EditSite database failed...project Server user is not a member of the
MSProjectServerRole." Both default users show in SQL/Security/Logins.
should I go to an SQL site for this?
Thanks

JMAC:

One step at a time, please.<g> Let's focus on the EditSite error. Please
post the exact error which you kinda fudged in the last post. Is it
MSProjectUser or MSProjectServerUser that's generating the error? To clear
the error, you simply need to make sure that each of the SQL logons is
assigned to the correct role in SQL server. This error can happen because of
an unresolved bug in the installation routine and it takes longer to post
this message than it does to fix the problem. Let's get this resolved and on
to the next...

Thanks for your patience...
EditSite comes up with all correct server, database, serverrole and role
member info that was created during project server installation. Verified
both in SQL Server ENT MGR that both exist as system admins.

Database access says ProjectServer0680 and mssql\data directory shows
projectserver0680_1947_data.mdf?

Test results: "Database: Failed; The Project server user is not a member of
the MSProjectServerRole"

Jmac:

It appears that you've tried installing several times which is the reason
for the database name extension. What you need to do is fire up SQL
Enterprise Manager and expand your server tree. Select logons and locate the
MSProjectServerUser0680 and assign it to the MSProjectServer role.

calling the DR...

You can also create new logons with new passwords, assign them to the roles
and use the EditSite tool to set them for use.
